REVISION HISTORY

12 September 2001 4.50 -> 4.51
- Fixed TOOLS tab disappears after UDP scanning

12 September 2001 4.10 -> 4.50
- Added NSLookUp, Ping and Finger tools.
- Added Copy to Clipboard functionality to all grids.
- Added a new way to deal with Plug-ins allowing to load them in
memory only when requested and unloading them from memory after being
used.
- Added Context Help.
- Various improvements in the Options menu.

30 July 2001 4.04 -> 4.10
- The internal ports database now reports on 3753 officially
assigned/registered/unofficially used ports plus 450 ports affected
by TCP and UDP Trojan Horses. Since each port may have several
references, this translates to a total of more than 5400 entries
making it the most complete ports database currently available.
- Also, the ports database now cleary differentiates between Trojan
Horses and regular application port assigments.
- AWSPS can be loaded at startup or at runtime to the System Tray.
- Most menus feature the new XP visual look.
- The install program has been modernized cutting nearly 700 KB on
the distribution package.

2 April 2001 4.03 -> 4.04
- Minor fixes.
- Now, it remembers the last Time Synchronyzer Server used.

15 March 2001 4.02 -> 4.03
- Fixed a compatibility issue with the upcoming product Atelier
Web Ports Traffic Analyzer (AWPTA).

11 January 2001 4.01 -> 4.02
- Updated the Ports Database, which contains now more 6% entries,
including the full IANA database and all known ports currently
used by trojan horses.
- Updated the list of Time Servers on the Time Synchronizer. Now,
the user may visually see during the selection the server
category (see Help File/Time Servers for the explanation).
- The top left Site Selection box for TCP and UDP scanning has
been enhanced, supporting autocomplete on the edit box and hints
for partially hidden items on the list. IMPORTANT: Users of
Windows 95 or NT 4 which never installed Internet Explorer 4 or
later, will feel problems. They shall stick with release 4.01 and
let us know. If their number is significant we will see what we
can do.

24 November 2000 4.0 -> 4.01
Minor fixes.

11 November 2000
Release 4.0

New:

- TCP Syn Scanner (Windows 2000 platform only). Includes many
configuration parameters. Spoofing capability is disabled in the
trial version.
- Local Area Network: Lots of information about your machine and
machines on your network neighborhood. You need (except on a
network of Windows 2000 machines) to have NetBIOS enabled on your
machine, but not necessarily over TCP.
- NetBIOS scanner (professional version only).
- Network related Registry settings.
- Transport Protocols/Winsock Service Providers.
- Persistent Routes.
- DNS Servers.
- Printing capabilities.
- Saving capabilities.
- Font size adjustment for every table persistent across
sessions.
- Windows resizing.

Improvements:

- The existing Ports database has been updated and enriched with
more detailed information. Also, the number of entries has
increased by about 5%, including the full updated IANA database,
new trojans and new currently used ports.
-TCP connect scan time-out (in case of no-connections) can now be
adjusted. This is very helpful in cases where the user knows
beforehand that most ports are stealthed.

Fixes:
Many.

29 May 2000 3.01 -> 3.02
Fixes:

- UDP scanning the local machine ('localhost') or LAN with very
fast computers could produce some false opens.
- On Windows 2000 the Description row of the Interface
Statistics/Settings grid could appear garbled.
- Same video modes but different graphics cards or monitors can
produce different visual results, for example grids with
partially hidden columns. Now, you can also resize or move
non-fixed colum grids.
Note: Grids with fixed rows can be sorted by double clicking the
top row.

Improvements:

- On the Connections and Listening Ports grid you can click any
row on the second and third columns to obtain port details and
the host name associated with the IP address (the reverse DNS
lookup may take a while, particularly on the 3rd column).

- On TCP scanning the limit for Maximum Opened Ports has been
extended from 128 to 512. On NT and Windows 200 this last value
is attainable with a very fast computer. The appearance of 'no
buffer space available' errors in the Network Errors Report grid
signals	that the system has gone over its
limits; if you notice
it you shall stop the scanning and close the program since any
results thereon will be unreliable.

14 May 2000 3.0 -> 3.01
Fixes:

- TCP/UDP scanners refused to scan valid remote hosts not supplying
name and address details.
- Time Synch failing in some Time Zones.
- A few fixes in Ports Finder, namely stopping it while scanning TCP
or UDP caused Access Violation.
- When HTTP Server information not available at time of cancel
scanning the box continued showing 'Waiting..'
